The parish has an ongoing relationship with our neighbours in the St. Margaret's apartments. We are neighbours and seek to treat one another as such. The parish has been able to make its voice heard positively in the city in support of those who face mental illness and need housing.

In 1995, St. Margaret's Apartments (next door to the Church) was opened. St. Margaret's Parish worked in partnership with Coast Foundation to use parish land to create housing for 20 people living with a mental illness. The residents live in their own apartments and have a staff person working with them to give them support. The housing is managed by Coast Foundation.
