A Reconciling Congregation

St. Margaret's is a Reconciling Community. In this we have commited ourselves toward the full inclusion of gay and lesbian people in the life of the church and continue to understand and discern our call as a Reconciling Community.On February 15, 1998 at its Vestry meeting, St. Margaret's passed this motion:

• We affirm the full participation of all members in the life of the Church regardless of sexual orientation;
• We commit to work for the realization of this affirmation in the practice of the Church; and,
• We publicly proclaim St. Margaret's as a "Reconciling Community" to indicate our commitment.

Same-sex Blessings

St. Margaret's was the first parish to have a Same Gender Blessing in the Diocese of New Westminster in May, 2003. If you are gay or lesbian and would like to have a Blessing Ceremony, please call the church at (604) 874-5030.
