Try writing a Collect
 
Collects are prayers that follow a beautiful and poetic 5 form pattern.

1. Name God
2. Describe God
3. Name one desire or prayer request
4. Name the reason for this request
5. Ends with a word of praise to God and Amen.

Sample Collect
1     Giving and forgiving God,
2.     you created the good earth and blessed it.
3.     Give us glad and generous hearts,
4.     so that we may rejoice and give thanks for the abundance of your creation,              
        the depths of your mercy and your care for all;
 5.    blessed are you, O God, Source of all being, eternal Word and Holy Spirit,
        for ever and ever. Amen.
